Online IST 295a: Distributed Team Project

Welcome to the Fact Sheet for Online IST 295a, Distributed Team Project.

This course includes supervised experience where teams of students work on information system design projects gathered from industry or units within the university. This course offers a web-based distributed project that simulates an internship of a student in a company. Since this is a project-based course students will be required to work in teams and as such enough students to create a team should be enrolled for the course to work. Faculty will contact companies to solicit projects that can be designed for this course. These projects should help a company to solve an information technology related problem it is currently facing. Projects will be announced in great detail on the web and students will be assigned to a group that will work on solving one of these "real-world" problems.
